The deadliest enemy for your business is…

The deadliest enemy for your business is…

I’m hoping that you are having a winning day!

I was thinking about you and your business because I realize that entrepreneurs are putting it all out on the line day in and day out. I want to tell you that I appreciate your sacrifice! I appreciate your hard work! I appreciate the fact that you are trying to get to the figurative ‘promised land’ without a compass, a map, and sometimes even transportation.   I appreciate all entrepreneurs who press on…IN SPITE OF!!!

I consider myself to be one of your guides who has assisted a number of entrepreneurs to successfully get to the ‘promised land’. In contrast, I have also seen greater numbers of entrepreneurs, who attempted to go on their own, suffer at the hands of “lack of knowledge” which has many derivatives.

In short, I understand that the deadliest enemy for entrepreneur and in turn the business is: YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T.

Many entrepreneurs have great passion, skill, talent, ability, and are on purpose to handle their significant God-given assignment. But, those things in and of themselves are not enough to ensure that your business will be successful.

In my experience, I now know for a certainty that most entrepreneurs do not understand the anatomy of building a responsible business. Why?

  • First, the anatomy of building a responsible business is not taught in any structured environment. Concepts are taught and perhaps caught by the entrepreneur. But, they may get them to a fraction of a percent of what they need to know and understand to build a business responsibly.
  • Second, many entrepreneurs ascribed to the theory — “It’s lonely at the top”. That theory does not and cannot be the reality for the entrepreneur who successfully builds a responsible business. You must be intentional about expanding your circle of influence to increase your probability of getting to the ‘promised land’.

Finally, many entrepreneurs are reactive as it relates to partnering with their Business Attorney. They call upon an Attorney when something goes wrong. That is such a short-sighted and costly approach to using your Business Attorney. The Business Attorney will make your business more healthy, more profitable, and more viable and a valuable, premier problem solving entity.

As a Business Attorney, I assist entrepreneurs with guidance to successful journey to the ‘promised land’. My motto: Your success is my success. Let’s build a business responsibly!
